Day 1: Traveling to Kyrgyzstan!
Regular flight TA - Bishkek, with a stopover on the way. Departure from the airport on a late evening flight and landing at noon in Bishkek.
Day 2: Bishkek — Tokmak — Lake Isik Kul
Arrival at Bishkek airport by regular flight with a stopover. Bishkek is located in the Choi Valley on the northern sides of Kyrgyz Ala-Too at an altitude range of 700-900 meters above sea level. Bishkek is one of the largest cities in Central Asia and the largest city in Kyrgyzstan, with a population of over 800 thousand people, from 80 nationalities. On arrival we will meet our local team and set off. After a short drive, we will have breakfast at a local house and travel to Tamga, which was once the capital of the Cracian dynasty. We will have lunch and continue the drive along the southern shore of Lake Isik-Kul (the second largest mountain lake in the world), up to Bokonbaevo, dinner and accommodation in a guest house.
DAY 3: BUKONBAWA — TEMEGA — JETI OGHIZ
After breakfast we will prepare for a further drive to the Jeti Oghuz Canyon, located on the northern slopes of Terski, about 35 km west from the city of Karakol, the length of the valley about 40 km. We will meet red rock formations known as the “Broken Heart” and “Seven Bulls”. The slopes in the gorge are covered with the world-famous blue spruce of Tian Shan, along about 25 km of the mountainous river. The road runs the length of the river (crossed by about five bridges). This is the narrowest part of the road that then opens to what is called the “meadow flower”. The upper part of the valley is blocked by a natural wall with a stunning summit at a height of 5165 m. We will start our trek at the foot of the Oguz Bashi peak. The path along the river channel is very narrow and wooded and leads us to an alpine meadow. Here, on a carpet of flowers, in the mountains, the air is sugary and clear, the views are amazing, forgetting everything and getting closer to nature. Dinner and accommodation in the tent camp “Talti” at an altitude of 3050 m.
Day 4: Teleti Crossing — Karakol George
Today we will cross the Talty Pass. The ascent of the pass is not particularly difficult, the main route along a narrow path with a winding ascent, with two steep slopes, which require effort. From the top of the pass at an altitude of 3800 m, we get a spectacular view. THE DESCENT IS QUITE SIMPLE, ALONG A WIDE SLOPE ACROSS ALPINE MEADOWS WITH VARIOUS HERBS AND FLOWERS, TO THE EASTERN LENGTH OF THE TELTY RIVER. Later we will take a walk along a wooded path along a path covered with roots. Dinner and accommodation in Karakol Tent Camp at 2500 m.
DAY 5: “SIROTA” HUT AND LAKE AL-KOL
We will open the day with a descent of about 1 km along the gorge, after which we will cross the river on a wooden bridge and a path that will lead us into the forest. After a long climb ending on a steep slope covered with grass, the path becomes winding, passes across the river, and reaches an unusual place called the “Sirota” hut. A wooden hut in which a table, benches and fireplace, a number of statues of animals and idols are carved in wood around the hut. Fairytale place. After resting we will continue on the path that rises higher, comes out of the forest and takes us to a beautiful waterfall, which flows from Lake Ala-Kul. Dinner and accommodation at the Ala-Kul tent camp at 3500 m.
Day 6: Ala-Kul Lake — Arshan Channel
Lake Ala-Kul stretches from east to west for 2.8 km, its width is 500 m and its depth is 70 m. AL-KOL IN KYRGYZ MEANS LAKE OF COLORS. Depending on the lighting, the water changes its color — emerald green, turquoise with reflected white clouds, light green, gray and black. During the ascent, he enjoyed the stunning view of the lake. When we approach the lake we will see in front of us the peaks that surround it. From the edge of the lake it will take us about an hour and a half to strip. WE WILL DERAIL AND CROSS THE WIDE AND PICTURESQUE VALLEY, FULL OF HERDS OF CATTLE AND SHEEP. The trail brings us again into the forest descending into the Arashan Valley. Upon arrival at the tent camp we can take the opportunity to relax in the hot springs — an option to bathe in thermal baths. Dinner and accommodation in Altyn Arshan camp “Altyn Arashan” at 2500 m altitude.
Day 7: Altin Arshan — Karakol Mall
Altin Arshan is a resort that was founded in 1963 and became famous for its hot water springs. The resort has several wooden huts located on a large treeless meadow on the bank of the Arshan River. The northern slopes of the left bank of the mountain are covered with fir trees, which gives an unforgettable picture of dark green trees against the background of snow-capped mountains on peaks above 5000 m. We will descend into the forest across green fields, blossoms and sparkling mountain springs. The last five kilometers of the gorge are very narrow, no more than 30 m and with high rock walls. At the entrance to the gorge we pass by a village called Ek Su (the name comes from the hot springs) where we will board our shuttle and go to Karakol. Dinner, with a local folklore show.
Day 8: Karakol — Bishkek
After breakfast, transfer to the city of Bishkek. We'll stop for lunch on the way. We will reach Bishkek where we will be stored in a hotel of high tourist rank. Depending on the times there will be free time in the city. We'll meet for a farewell evening at a local restaurant in town.
