Qumran Creek lies within an impressive canyonal gorge in the northern Dead Sea. Our trip begins with a walking section that leaves near the entrance to the Qumran National Park - a historical site of the Qumran settlement, through the beautiful unoccupied scroll trail, until crossing the Qumran stream. Here we will settle, make a short route that passes inside the ancient aqueduct that led water to the ancient settlement and reach the first waterfall, with an impressive view of the Dead Sea. From here we will pass the stream in the surf of three beautiful impressive waterfalls with heights of 12-40 m. During the trip we will be able to see and walk inside an ancient aqueduct built by the Qumran people (Issians) as well as pass by the remains of buildings and antiquities of the Qumran settlement. At the end of the route, a short walk will lead us to the vehicles. The excursion route is circular.
A variety of challenging excursions, for hikers and in general, for those who are not afraid of challenges, nature lovers and are looking for the possibility of entering the mighty canyons of the Judean Desert, or other streams where waterfalls, and there is no possibility to do this without professional knowledge, relevant equipment and good training.
