A 4-day migratory trek in the dismembered ridge of the Rajaf region. An area of sandstone, which weathering has sculpted in it special rock forms. A one-time opportunity to witness crazy colors and huge hanging arches, while walking through narrow ravines, water tops and ancient cisterns and fogging up to amazing vantage points on the steppe.
Day 1: Wadi Abu Uruk
Meet in the morning at the Rabin border crossing near Eilat. After the crossing procedure to the Jordanian side, we will travel north along the Jordanian steppe road, we will turn to Naqab from Auda and start climbing until the beginning of the route over Wadi Abu Uruk. We will enter the ravines of Wadi Simeh, climb the rock plateau above Wadi Abu Uruk and reach Ein Meshih for a night's stay. Dinner and accommodation in the field.
DAY 2: A KIND OF CRUISE TO THE BIG BOW
After breakfast, we will take a kind of cruise and start climbing to the Big Arch. Through Wadi Umm Alla, climbing between ravines and rock surfaces, to a mighty gully lintel that remains hanging, connects both sides of the mountain. Upstairs we will visit an ancient cistern and get a spectacular view from the rainbow, a coffee break in front of the view and a descent to the night camp.
DAY 3: MAJABAL JULIF AND ADI KHILWAN
After breakfast we will walk on the plateau of the Jolif area, at an altitude of 1100 meters and slide into Wadi Hilwan, with its upright sandstone walls. Wadi is amazing to walk us down the great channel of the Tajra stream, where we will sleep.
Day 4: Wadi Abu Uruk
Breakfast and embarkation for a half-day walk that will close a four-day trek, at the entrance to Wadi Abu Uruk, on the road leading into the Jordanian steppe. As long as time leaves on the way to the border, we will stop for wandering in Aqaba and from there we will travel to the border crossing.
